Delta Air Lines is helping Boston travelers discover Milan and Barcelona next year with new nonstop flights taking off in the summer of 2025.

The routes are part of Delta’s largest-ever transatlantic summer schedule, announced on Friday. Next summer, Delta will offer more than 700 weekly flights to 33 European destinations and beyond.

Delta’s new route between Boston and Milan is “filling a crucial gap as Boston’s largest unserved European market,” according to a press release. The Milan route will be offered four times a week, and the Barcelona route will be offered three times a week.

“Delta has been an excellent partner to Logan for many years and we are thrilled about their new routes to Milan and Barcelona as part of their trans-Atlantic expansion in summer 2025,” said Ed Freni, director of aviation for Massport, in a statement. “These new services will provide our passengers with more travel opportunities and further strengthen our ties between New England and the many regions of Europe.”

The airline also announced new direct service between Boston and Bozeman, Montana, which will begin in December ahead of ski season.

What’s more, Delta says it is opening a Delta One lounge at Logan International Airport by next summer. The lounge will offer “an exclusive and luxurious setting” for Delta One and other eligible customers, according to the carrier. Lounges will also open at Los Angeles International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The first Delta One lounge opened at John F. Kennedy International Airport in June.
