Former Boston College Eagle Will Smith Scores First NHL Goal

Must Read

Former Boston College Eagle and current San Jose Sharks forward Will Smith scored his first NHL goal Thursday.

With the Sharks taking on the Chicago Blackhawks, Smith opened the scoring for his team, taking a backhand pass in the slot from Luke Kunin, adjusting himself and beating Petr Mrazek with a quick shot over his shoulder.

Although he was previously held pointless through his first eight NHL games, Smith is bound to find his confidence now. A 2023 first round pick of the Sharks, Smith lead the NCAA in total points last season with 71 and has all the tools to develop into a franchise player for the Sharks alongside fellow rookie Macklin Celebrini.
