KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — With the approach of Black Friday, the nation’s lurid and dying celebration of commericialism, King of Prussia Mall has been ranked amongst the country’s best malls for Chrismast shopping.
The store scored 5.7 out of 10 on the scale, put togehter by tobacco supplier Yocan Vaporizer.
“Crowd levels compared daily footfall to the mall’s size, while parking looked at all-day costs and the total spaces,” organizers said. “Stores and eateries looked at which mall had the most of each listed in their directory, while availability considered weekday and Sunday opening hours.”
King of Prussia trailed only Minnesota’s Mall of America, which scored 8.3, and Florida’s Aventura Mall, which also scored 5.7.
The ranking also looked at the variety of stores, number of places to eat, seasonal opening hours, and parking availability and cost. KOP’s leading factor was number of stores.
Erie’s Millcreek Mall, which scored 4.9 overall, also landed on the list for Pennsylvania at 7th overall.
Here are KOP’s individual scores: crowding 6.2, parking 9.7, stores 9.1, eateries 2.9, hours 0.8.
