Man Self-Immolates Outside Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.

A man set himself on fire in downtown Boston on Wednesday. According to NBC10 Boston, the incident took place outside the Four Seasons hotel, located across the street from the Consulate General of Israel to New England. The man suffered serious burn injuries and was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital. His condition is currently not known.

Boston Police responded to the scene around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday and found members of Boston EMS tending to a man who had suffered from severe burn wounds. Investigators collected evidence and all cars in the area were searched. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office told NBC10 Boston that it was aware on the incident. Investigation was ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. The man has not been identified.

A video obtained by the outlet shows the man walking back and forth outside the Four Seasons hotel. He then pours gasoline over himself and sets himself on fire. Those around him can be seen trying to put out the blaze.

Speaking to Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra, a television station licensed to New Hampshire, a witness named Jeferson Zapata said the man poured gasoline over himself and set himself ablaze.

“I tried to throw water on him,” Zapata said.
