Next Act, Inc, the non-profit organization that owns and operates the historic Astra Theatre in Jasper, Indiana, is now selling season tickets for the upcoming 2024 season.
The Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks, local craft and domestic beer, and wine that are available for purchase.
This is the seventh season of entertainment in the theatre since major renovations took place in 2017.
A lot has happened in the previous six years, and this seventh season is shaping up to be a big leap forward in bringing live entertainment to Jasper. This season will see an increase in the number of music and comedic events as 10 music acts, four comedians, and the annual Rock Lotto will take to the Jim and Pat Thyen Performance Stage throughout 2024.
Season tickets are on sale to the public now at www.AstraTheater.com. General, $300, and VIP, $425, season tickets are available for purchase. Both tickets will include the 10 music and 4 comedy events, the annual Rock Lotto, and three movies scheduled for Halloween and Christmas. The VIP tickets include reserved seats in the first 4 rows, preferred parking in the Matrix parking lot, early access to the venue and merchandise, and an exclusive pre-show event with the musical artists that will include a meet and greet and/or a short acoustic set when offered by the musician.
The following events are confirmed shows for 2024, with five more musicians and four comedians to be announced soon.
The season will kick off on Saturday, January 13, when Them Vibes out of Nashville, Tennessee, return. This band displayed some of the greatest energy ever seen at The Astra as they opened for Goodbye June last season, and this time around, they will be headlining. Funky Luck will get this evening of entertainment rolling.
Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast will make the trip from Asheville, NC on Saturday, February 24 to The Astra. This soulful rock band is fronted by Krisko who is known for her soaring vocal performances! The evening will be kicked off by Cynthia Murray & The End Times.
Saturday, April 13 will feature The Wilder Blue straight from the great state of Texas. This group brings together all the genres of country, bluegrass, folk, and acoustic rock. They will be preceded on stage by Josh Merrett, a native of Owensboro, KY.
On Saturday, April 27, Bonepony, a Nashville based band with a sound uniquely their own will play The Astra. They are known to combine a healthy dose of electrified blues, soulful rock, and outlaw country to create what can only be described as a high energy sound!
Ward Davis will make his return to The Astra on Saturday, June 22 after an extremely successful concert at the venue in 2023. Davis is a singer/songwriter with a highly impressive resume of musical achievements.
