A pedestrian suffered life threatening injuries after being hit by a truck Thursday morning, the Boston Police Department said.
Police responded at 6:31 a.m. to reports of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Essex Street and Atlantic Avenue, a Boston police spokesperson said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, the spokesperson said.
The driver of the truck stopped. No arrests or citations have been issued.
An active investigation is ongoing.
