Boston boasts some of the best hotels in America, according to U.S. News & World Report.

The publication released its 14th annual best hotel rankings on Tuesday, and XV Beacon ranked No. 9, Mandarin Oriental, Boston ranked No. 12, Boston Harbor Hotel ranked No. 18, and Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street Boston ranked No. 35 among the 50 best hotels in the U.S.

Another New England hotel, Twin Farms in Barnard, Vermont, made the list, ranking No. 28. For the second year in a row, Acqualina Resort & Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida ranked No. 1.

U.S. News & World Report ‘s 14th annual rankings evaluated more than 37,000 hotels and resorts across across the United States, Europe, Canada, Bermuda, Mexico, and the Caribbean to compile its hotel rankings. The results are based on top industry awards, hotel star ratings, and guest reviews. 

“As the travel landscape evolves, there is a shift toward meeting the needs of modern travelers. The hotel industry is striving to offer culturally authentic experiences and high levels of customer service, recognizing that today’s explorers seek connections with their destinations,” said Zach Watson, senior travel editor at U.S.News, in a statement.

“The 2024 Best Hotels rankings offer travelers dependable options to stay for every type of trip, balancing location, amenities and quality service to ensure an enjoyable experience,” he wrote.

Twin Farms also made the list of 50 best resorts in the U.S., ranking No. 15. Florida’s Acqualina Resort & Residences also ranked No. 1 on that list.
